About Mike Lyons

Lyons IT Lab was founded by Mike Lyons, an information technology leader, educator, consultant, and lifelong technology student.

Mike has worked in IT since 1992 and has spent much of his career leading technology in higher education. His experience spans IT leadership, cybersecurity, enterprise systems, infrastructure, cloud services, identity management, artificial intelligence, and technology strategy.

Teaching is also a major part of his work. Whether he is working with college students, technology professionals, executives, or someone learning a new tool for the first time, his approach stays the same: explain the technology clearly, show how it works, and help people put it into practice.

Why Lyons IT Lab Exists

Technology education often falls into one of two extremes. Content gets too technical for the average person, or gets simplified until little useful information remains.

Lyons IT Lab takes a different approach.
